Nihil

A union of Outer Rim raiders of the High Republic era. It was divided into Storms, each led by its own Tempest Runner, and above them stood a leader bearing the title of the Eye of the Nihil; this role was held by Marchion Ro.

The Nihil used special navigation techniques that allowed them to enter hyperspace by routes inaccessible to Republic ships, and therefore they eluded pursuit for long periods. They attacked settlements and ships, and one of their most notorious deeds was the attack on the Republic Fair on the planet Valo.

In 230 BBY the Nihil declared ten sectors on the Galactic Frontier their own and fenced them off with a barrier, the Stormwall, forming the Occlusion Zone. Against the Republic and the Jedi, Marchion Ro also used creatures he had stolen that were deadly to the Force-sensitive. The union surrendered after the Battle of Eriadu in 228 BBY.
