Hetzal Prime

Hetzal Prime is the principal world of the Hetzal system in the Savareen sector of the Outer Rim. The planet is surrounded by two inhabited moons, and its three suns provide unusually long growing seasons, thanks to which harvests are gathered almost continuously. The surface is occupied by rivers, lakes, and golden fields where a wide variety of crops are grown, and the work is done by harvester droids.

The planet's capital was the city of Agirre, where the local government was based. In the High Republic era, attempts were made here to cultivate plants yielding bacta, a substance that promised a revolution in medicine.

The system found itself at the center of a disaster engineered by the leader of the Nihil, and the rescue operation made the planet a symbol of Republic unity. Later, Hetzal fell within the area cut off by the Stormwall and was occupied by the Nihil, who set up their main base here; after the fall of the wall, the Republic began an operation to retake it.
