Occlusion Zone
Profile
A region of ten Outer Rim sectors on the Galactic Frontier, seized by the Nihil and walled off from the rest of the galaxy by the Stormwall barrier in 230 BBY. Hyperspace travel and communications were impossible inside the zone. In 228 BBY Marchion Ro expanded its borders, and after the Nihil defeat at Eriadu the zone ceased to exist.

Description
A region of ten sectors on the Galactic Frontier, in the Outer Rim, declared by the Nihil to be their own and fenced off by a barrier known as the Stormwall. It is also known as the Occlusion Zone, the Free Sectors, the Liberated Worlds, and simply Nihil space. The barrier was erected in 230 BBY.
In 228 BBY, in response to an attempt by the Jedi Order and the Republic to break through the wall, the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro, expanded the zone, swallowing two entire sectors and a number of systems and planets and cutting through the Seswenna sector almost to Eriadu. After Master Avar Kriss's escape from the zone, the wall was moved several more times, and these movements seemed random to the Republic. Eventually the zone took in most of the Chommell sector in the Mid Rim, including Naboo, and at its peak encompassed almost a tenth of Republic space.
The zone ceased to exist after the surrender of the Nihil at the Battle of Eriadu in the same year, 228 BBY.
