Description

A militarized state that grew out of the fragments of the Galactic Empire that retreated beyond the settled galaxy after the defeat at Jakku. It retained Imperial order, insignia, and military structure.

The First Order built a large fleet and an army of stormtroopers, who were taken as children and raised from birth as soldiers, stripped of their names and given numbers instead. The Supreme Leader was Snoke, the troops were commanded by General Hux and the order's command, and Kylo Ren acted as the executor of the order's will in matters of the Force.

Starkiller Base, built by the order, destroyed the Hosnian Prime system along with the capital of the New Republic, but was soon destroyed by the Resistance. After Snoke's death, Kylo Ren took the place of Supreme Leader, and the order itself became tied to the Sith Eternal and their fleet. It was defeated in the battle over Exegol.
