Obi-Wan Kenobi

He was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn and, after his mentor's death on Naboo, took on the training of Anakin Skywalker. During the Clone Wars, he served as a general in the Grand Army of the Republic, sat on the Jedi Council, and led campaigns on many worlds, working in tandem with his former apprentice.

After the order to destroy the Order was issued, he survived and, together with Yoda, assessed the scale of what had happened. He fought Anakin, who had gone over to the side of the Sith, on Mustafar and left him gravely maimed, and then went into hiding on Tatooine to watch over Luke Skywalker from afar.

He lived there for years under the name Ben, and when the droids carrying Leia's recording appeared, he led Luke to the Alliance. Aboard the Death Star, he fought a duel with Darth Vader and allowed himself to be struck down, after which he continued to guide the young man as a voice in the Force.
