Description
Polis Massa is an asteroid belt left behind by a destroyed planet. In 519 BBY, the Kallidah Archaeological Research Council established a base on one of the largest asteroids in order to conduct excavations in the belt and determine the causes of the world's demise.
Remains of the Eellayin, the native species and the ancestors of the researchers, were found extremely rarely. However, in 69 BBY archaeologists discovered the ruins of the underground city of Vientaa, after which excavations were conducted on an ever wider scale. Because of their long stay on the planetoid, the Kallidahin came to be called Polis Massans. In addition to its scientific work, the base had medical facilities, thanks to which, at the end of the Clone Wars, a patient in need of help was brought here, and here too a birth was secretly delivered.
