Marda Ro

In 382 BBY Marda Ro lived on the planet Dalna with her cousin Yana Ro, belonged to the Path of the Open Hand cult, and revered its leader, known as the Mother. She was reserved and withdrawn; the cult's teaching required renouncing the use of the Force.

During the Jedi investigation into the disappearance of the Rod of Seasons, she met the Pantoran Kevmo Zink. Their views did not align, but she fell in love with him; after he was killed by a creature called the Leveler, she blamed the Jedi. Together with the cult, she left Dalna aboard the ship Gaze Electric and headed for the moon Jedha, having received the rank of Guide.

The cult's request was rejected, and the unrest that broke out escalated into a battle in the Holy City. Later she took part in an expedition for the eggs of the Nameless, during which Bokana Koss, who was close to her, died, and she announced the transformation of the community into the Path of the Closed Fist, which led to the slaughter on Dalna known as the Night of Sorrow.
