Description

Rey grew up alone on Jakku, stripping the hulks of ships for ration packs and waiting for the return of the family who had left her. She knew how to fly and repair machines, which allowed her to get the abandoned Millennium Falcon airborne while fleeing the First Order.

Discovering her connection to the Force, she mastered telekinesis and the mind trick without a teacher, withstood Kylo Ren's interrogation, and defeated him in a duel on Starkiller. She found Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To and obtained her first lessons from him, and after his passing she continued her training under Leia Organa.

In her confrontation with the returned Palpatine, she learned of her origins but rejected the place offered to her. Having prevailed, she buried Luke's and Leia's lightsabers on Tatooine and built her own weapon, taking the name Skywalker.
