Anakin Skywalker

Born on Tatooine and raised as a slave; he was found by Qui-Gon Jinn, who believed him to be the Chosen One, destined to restore balance to the Force. His training was taken on by Obi-Wan Kenobi, despite the Jedi Council's doubts about the boy's age and attachments.

He showed rare abilities in piloting and lightsaber combat, commanded troops during the Clone Wars, and received Ahsoka Tano as his apprentice. He secretly married Padmé Amidala, and visions of her death made him vulnerable to Palpatine's promises.

Having taken the name Darth Vader, he took part in the destruction of the Jedi Order, and was then defeated by Obi-Wan on Mustafar and survived only in a protective suit of armor. For many years he served the Emperor, until, on the second Death Star, he stood up for his son and put an end to his master at the cost of his own life.
