Tython

Tython is the fifth planet of the Tython system in the Deep Core, orbiting the star Tythos. The world was distinguished by rich nature, continents separated by oceans, and an exceptional saturation with the Force: any disturbance of the balance caused Force storms and earthquakes here that ravaged the surface. The planet has two moons — the light Ashla and the dark Bogan — on whose opposition the teaching of balance was built.

Pilgrims who arrived aboard the Tho Yor ships founded the Je'daii Order and erected nine temples at the places where the pyramid ships had come to rest; initiates made a journey lasting many years to all nine sanctuaries. Those who could not feel the Force were resettled on other worlds of the system.

Later the Despot War came to an end at Tython, and the crash of a ship of the Rakatan Infinite Empire preceded the Force War. The victorious adherents of the light side founded the Jedi Order and departed for Ossus, after which the routes to the planet were lost.
