Despot War: Queen Hadiya's army invades Tython

25,805 BBYExact dateLast checked: 23 October 2026

The Twi'lek Hadiya of Shikaakwa subjugated the Nine Houses and the other worlds of the Tython system, then led the Despot Army onto the planet Tython against the Je'daii Order.

Description

By the time of the conflict, the Settled Worlds had been accumulating distrust of the Je'daii Order for about ten thousand years, and on Shikaakwa an aristocracy of the Nine Houses had formed, headed by crime barons. Hadiya made her way to power through persuasion and force, relying on her associates Bakko and Ka'un Damm, as well as the “fists” Shri-Lan and Gav Vannar. Having received the title of Kral, that is, supreme ruler, she won the support of commoners with promises of wealth and freedom from Je'daii interference. The Order considered Hadiya's plans a threat to the stability of the system and sided with the resisting aristocrats, pledging to protect those who did not wish to submit. At first the war proceeded sluggishly, with minor skirmishes in space and on the moons of Kalimahr. Then Hadiya hurled against Tython the Despot Army, which she had secretly trained and armed. The surprise of the attack caught the order off guard, but the Je'daii quickly regrouped. In the fighting on Tython the order's forces were led by Master Rajivari, who earned the nickname “the General,” while the Temple Master of Akar Kesh, Telaat, who headed the Je'daii Council, was killed; his place was taken by the younger Master Ketu.
