Dantooine

Dantooine was located in the system of the same name in the Raioballo sector, in the northern area of the New Territories of the Outer Rim, and belonged successively to the Galactic Republic and then to the Galactic Empire.

Several centuries before the start of the Clone Wars, the presence of the Jedi Order is recorded on the planet: a temple operated here, and some of the Jedi harvested kyber crystals, finding them in the nests of cave-dwelling kinrath. After the Jedi left, the world was resettled during the Republic's campaign to colonize the New Territories. The oldest settlement remained small and served as a trading port with an inn; the locals had almost no goods of their own, apart from what they brought back from expeditions into the vast jungles. Around 381 BBY, the Evereni Marda Ro came here searching for her kin.
