Rogue Squadron
Profile
An elite starfighter unit created by Wedge Antilles together with Luke Skywalker in the service of the Alliance. The squadron took part in the rebels' most difficult operations and later continued on in the armed forces of the New Republic.

Description
A starfighter unit in the service of the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic, created by Wedge Antilles together with Luke Skywalker. The squadron was recruited from the best pilots and flew mainly X-wing starfighters.
The unit was assigned missions that were considered impossible: reconnaissance, covering withdrawals, strikes on fortified targets. Its pilots took part in key battles of the Galactic Civil War and suffered heavy losses in doing so; after being wounded, some of them moved to staff positions, such as Nawara Ven, who became the deputy commander.
In the Bacta War the squadron operated against Ysanne Isard: its pilots obtained equipment on Tatooine and lost comrades when a tanker was destroyed by an Imperial Star Destroyer, but in the end they forced the ship Lusankya to surrender.
