Description

A warrior culture whose members wear armor, often made of beskar, and follow their own customs and code. Belonging to the Mandalorians is determined not by origin but by the acceptance of these customs, which is why the clans included people from various worlds.

Mandalorian history is filled with wars: their clashes with the Jedi Order and with the Republic left a mark on the lore of both sides. During the Clone Wars, the government of Satine Kryze held to a pacifist course, which was opposed by Death Watch; later Maul seized power on Mandalore.

The Empire subjected the planet to a devastation known as the Purge, after which the surviving clans scattered across the galaxy. Some of them preserved their customs in closed communities, one of which Din Djarin belonged to. Later the clans united around the Darksaber and returned to their ravaged homeworld.
