Yuuzhan Vong invasion

The Yuuzhan Vong came from another galaxy, abandoned after an ancient war, and spent decades scouting. The executor Nom Anor gathered information about the galactic powers for years, and the results of this work formed the basis for the plans of Prefect Da'Gara and his domain. The entry point was chosen at the outer edge: only there could the invaders pass the hyperspace barrier without resorting to the Force and find themselves at the junction of the territories of the New Republic and the Imperial remnants, where resistance was least likely. The advance force combined reconnaissance, assault troops, and engineering units. The infiltrator Yomin Carr embedded himself at a research station on Belkadan, after which Da'Gara brought three worldships and a young yammosk, a creature that coordinates the fleet's actions, into the galaxy. All of the invaders' technology was grown rather than built: ships, weapons, and equipment were living organisms. This deprived the enemy of its usual means of detection and made the first clashes especially hard.
