Foiled attempt to kidnap Ben Skywalker

Viqi Shesh came from Kuat and had a rapid career in the New Republic Senate, joining the Security and Intelligence Council, the Senate refugee committee, and the Advisory Council. When the Yuuzhan Vong began seizing the Outer Rim in 25 ABY, she decided that she would survive only on the side of the victor, and for two years she passed information to the enemy about fleet dispositions and intelligence operations, hoping to protect her homeworld and gain power. She maintained a personal connection with Warmaster Tsavong Lah and knew of his particular interest in those sensitive to the Force. To kidnap Luke Skywalker's infant son, the senator brought together a team of six Yuuzhan Vong under the command of the warrior Ingo Dar. The attempt failed. Later, after Shesh lost her seat on the committee overseeing military operations and her opponents in the Senate joined forces with the military and the Jedi, she made a second attempt — shortly after Anakin Solo's death on the mission at Myrkr. Exposed, the former senator ultimately took her own life.
