Mission to Myrkr
The invaders bred the voxyn, creatures that sense Jedi through the Force. A team of seventeen Jedi allowed themselves to be captured, reached the worldship at Myrkr, and destroyed the voxyn queen, but paid for it with the deaths of six of its members.
Description
The appearance of the voxyn — engineered creatures capable of tracking the Force-sensitive through the Force — forced the Order to take an extremely risky step: to destroy not individual beasts but the source of their production. The team was assembled from young Knights, including all three Solo children, as well as Tenel Ka, Tahiri Veila, and Zekk. Transport was provided by Lando and Tendra Calrissian, who posed as sympathizers of the invaders and handed the prisoners over to a reconnaissance ship, which took them through the mined border. In captivity, the team was tortured: Commander Duman Yaght tormented the wounded Ulaha Kore and forced Jaina to choose which of her brothers would be tortured. A melding of minds in the Force helped them survive, after which the prisoners seized the ship with the support of battle droids. At the target, Ulaha drew off the pursuit and died, allowing the others to land. On the worldship, the team was deceived by the witch Lomi Plo and her apprentice Welk, who stole the repaired vessel along with the wounded Raynar Thul. The queen was nonetheless destroyed; Jacen Solo was captured.
