Death of Anakin Solo
Han and Leia's younger son led the strike team he himself had proposed. Badly wounded in one of the skirmishes, he stayed behind to cover his comrades' retreat and died, having achieved complete unity with the Force before his death. His mother felt his passing from many light-years away.
Description
The younger son of Han and Leia was named after his grandfather, and his mother hoped to redeem that name's memory through him. By the start of the war, he had already become one of the key figures of the Order: he developed techniques for fighting the invaders and took part in the largest battles. His sortie to rescue Tahiri Veila and his help to the warrior Vua Rapuung gave impetus to a heresy among the Shamed Ones — a movement that ultimately undermined the power of the priestly elite from within. During the raid on the worldship, he suffered a severe amphistaff wound to the side when he rushed to his sister's aid, and he refused to abort the mission. The team suffered losses: Eryl Besa, Jovan Drark, Bela Hara, and her kinsman were killed. When it became clear that the enemy was about to cut the group off, he remained alone in the structure to hold off the attackers. In his final battle, he unleashed upon his enemies pure Force energy, which his overtaxed body could no longer withstand. His comrades retrieved his body, and his lightsaber was handed to his brother, who carried on with the mission.
