Infinite Empire

The realm of the Rakata, with its capital on the planet Lehon, which subjugated many worlds long before the Republic arose. The Rakata conquered above all worlds rich in the Force and enslaved their inhabitants.

The empire's might rested on technologies that combined machinery with the Force: Rakatan hyperdrives worked only in the hands of those sensitive to it, and in orbit around the star Abo the Star Forge was built, a colossal installation that converted the star's matter into ships and weapons.

The realm fell when the Rakata lost their connection to the Force and the conquered worlds rebelled. What remained of it were structures scattered across the galaxy and traces of its dominion; in later eras, knowledge of the empire was preserved only by individual researchers.
