Ska Gora

Ska Gora was located in the Tython system in the Deep Core and occupied the eighth orbit around the star Tythos; the planet had a single moon. The temperate climate supported giant trees, vast forests, swamps, and marshy lowlands. Alongside untouched nature, the planet had deep mines that yielded precious stones and metals, including silver.

More than thirty-six thousand years before the Battle of Yavin the planet was colonized by settlers from Tython who were not Force-sensitive. Around 25,800 BBY the Je'daii Daegen Lok experienced a vision in which an army of dark warriors marched across the burning surface of Ska Gora and floating cities fell to the ground. Later the Wookiee chieftain Garkanna, in defiance of prohibitions, led his kin to the surface; the land wars that followed destroyed part of the forests but averted a civil war between the Wookiees and the other settlers.
