Armitage Hux

Armitage Hux was born on the planet Arkanis around the time of the Battle of Yavin and was the illegitimate son of Commandant Brendol Hux and a kitchen worker. After the Galactic Civil War, he fled to the Unknown Regions together with his father, Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, and a group of children from whom the First Order's first stormtroopers would come.

By the beginning of the cold war, Hux had arranged his own father's death, set up the training and indoctrination of a new generation of stormtroopers, and executed Admiral Brooks. With the backing of Supreme Leader Snoke, he was given command of Starkiller Base, gave the order for the shot that destroyed the New Republic's capital, Hosnian Prime, and promoted the development of a device that made it possible to track ships through hyperspace. He commanded the Star Destroyer Finalizer and then the dreadnought Supremacy.

Snoke's death and Kylo Ren's rise to power stripped Hux of his influence: he sat on the High Council but acted under supervision and answered to Allegiant General Enric Pryde. Embittered, he passed information to the Resistance and was exposed.
