Description
The concluding miniseries of the Tales of the Jedi cycle, originally announced under the title The Redemption of Ulic Qel-Droma. Five issues were published by Dark Horse Comics from July 22 to November 25, 1998; it was written by Kevin J. Anderson, with art by Chris Gossett. Chronologically, the story is set in 3,986 BBY, roughly a decade after the Great Sith War.
The plot revolves around the postwar world: Nomi Sunrider, who has become an influential figure in the Order, convenes the first great Jedi assembly in ten years at Exis Station, while Ulic Qel-Droma lives in isolation on the frozen planet Rhen Var. Prominent roles are given to the coming-of-age storylines of Vima Sunrider and the Cathar Jedi Sylvar, as well as of the Twi'lek Tott Doneeta on Ryloth.
The series concludes the cycle's six-year publishing history and serves as its epilogue: it sums up the fates of the heroes introduced in 1993 and closes what was at the time the oldest layer of the Legends chronology, before the arrival of Dawn of the Jedi.
