Exile of Ulic Qel-Droma on Rhen Var

Cut off from the Force after the Great Sith War, Ulic Qel-Droma hires the spacer Hoggon to find him a place of solitude. Hoggon first takes him to Yavin 4, to the temples of Exar Kun, but the place does not suit his client. The choice falls on the ice-bound, uninhabited Rhen Var, where Ulic remains in exile.
Description
After the Great Sith War, Ulic Qel-Droma found himself in an unprecedented situation: cut off from the Force, he escaped prosecution for his deeds and was left to wander the galaxy, never staying anywhere for long. He retained his former lightsaber skills, but the Force no longer responded to him, and the former Knight's whereabouts remained unknown to the Order. For his final journey, he used the services of the spacer Hoggon and chose Rhen Var — an ice-covered planet where he took refuge in a frozen fortress amid a snowy wasteland. His solitude proved incomplete: that same Hoggon soon brought Vima Sunrider, who was searching for a teacher, there, and later showed the way to others as well. Rhen Var became Qel-Droma's last refuge. Here he took Vima as his apprentice, here together with her he carved colossal statues with lightsabers, and here he died from a shot fired by Hoggon, who wanted to win fame by killing the man he considered one of the worst villains in the galaxy.
