Vima Sunrider runs away in search of a teacher

Frustrated that her mother is too busy with the Order's affairs to train her, Vima Sunrider runs away from the gathering at Exis Station, hiding on Hoggon's ship. Showing him a hologram of Ulic Qel-Droma, she learns that this is the very man the spacer recently took to Rhen Var. Hoggon delivers the girl to the ice planet, providing her with gear and a transmitter.
Description
Vima Sunrider was born in 4,000 BBY on the planet H'ratth to the knight Andur Sunrider and Nomi Sunrider, and she possessed considerable potential in the Force. She spent her early years as an apprentice to Master Thon on Ambria and among senior Jedi on Ossus — Vodo-Siosk Baas and Odan-Urr predicted that she would become a great Master. Later her training passed to her mother, but Nomi, occupied with leading the Order, lacked time for her daughter. By 3986 her accumulated discontent led her to decide to find a mentor herself. At the Exis conclave Vima settled on Ulic Qel-Droma and, trusting in the Force, secretly slipped aboard a ship standing in the hangar. She was discovered by the pilot Hoggon, who shortly before had in fact delivered Qel-Droma to Rhen Var. For a promised generous reward he agreed to take her there as well. After dropping his passenger off at an icy wasteland and pointing out the fortress, Hoggon grew worried for her life and left her a transmitter for communication. It soon failed, and Vima was left alone on Rhen Var in the midst of a blizzard.
