Description
The Book of Boba Fett is a live-action series from Lucasfilm whose first episode was released on the Disney+ streaming service on December 29, 2021. The project, including its title and release timing, was first revealed in a post-credits scene of the second-season finale of The Mandalorian.
The story takes place between the second and third seasons of The Mandalorian. It centers on the bounty hunter Boba Fett and the mercenary Fennec Shand, who return to Tatooine and assert their position in the galactic underworld in territory once controlled by Jabba the Hutt.
The series was preceded by Boba Fett's return to live action in the episode of The Mandalorian titled “The Tragedy,” directed by Robert Rodriguez; it was he who proposed developing the character in a standalone project. The production belongs to the shared group of New Republic-era series together with The Mandalorian and Ahsoka.
