Boba Fett takes Jabba's throne and becomes daimyo of Mos Espa

After the death of its owner, Jabba the Hutt's palace passed to Bib Fortuna, while power in Mos Espa was divided among crime families. Boba Fett, who had escaped the belly of the sarlacc and recovered his armor, occupied the palace together with Fennec Shand and declared himself daimyo, rejecting the old ways: he offered the neighborhoods protection instead of extortion and banned the spice trade. This arrangement did not suit everyone. Mayor Mok Shaiz was playing a double game, and the Aqualish, Trandoshan, and Klatooinian families chafed at the limits on their income and hoped to take Fett's place; behind them stood the Pyke Syndicate. The daimyo's support came not from hired thugs but from allies he had gathered: the modified bikers, the Wookiee Krrsantan, Din Djarin, and the residents of Freetown. After the defeat of the Pykes in Mos Espa, Fett's position was secured: the dons and the mayor were eliminated, and the townspeople, rebuilding the destroyed neighborhoods, accepted his leadership.
