Bo-Katan Kryze sees the mythosaur

The Living Waters lay in the mines of Mandalore beneath the Civic Center of Sundari and since ancient times had served as a ritual site where the ruling family performed its ablutions. According to legend, the mines were the lair of mythosaurs, giant beasts which, as the inscription at the entrance to the chamber states, Mandalore the Great defeated and rode; the skull symbol that became the emblem of the planet derives from these legends. The Watch believed that the mines had collapsed after the Great Purge, but in fact underground tremors had only pushed the waters deeper. When Din Djarin immersed himself in them for redemption and lost consciousness, it fell to Bo-Katan Kryze, who belonged to the royal line and had undergone the rite herself, to go down after him. In the depths she saw a living mythosaur, a species considered extinct long before the Mandalorian catastrophe. Kryze concealed what she had seen from the man she had saved, although, according to the Armorer, songs of old foretold that the awakening of the mythosaur would herald a new age of Mandalore.
