Description
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is an animated series from Lucasfilm Animation that serves as both a sequel to and a spin-off of The Clone Wars. The project was announced on July 13, 2020, and premiered on the Disney+ service on May 4, 2021; the first season consists of sixteen episodes. The music was composed by Kevin Kiner, who had worked on The Clone Wars and Rebels.
The story centers on Clone Force 99, a squad of genetically modified clone soldiers: Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Echo, and Crosshair. All of the male clones are voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, and Omega is played by Michelle Ang.
The action begins immediately after the end of the Clone Wars and covers the first years of the Galactic Empire's formation, a period that few works of the canon had previously explored. The series fills the gap between The Clone Wars and Rebels and is made in the same animation style.
