Clash at the wedding of Phan-tu Zenn and Xiri A'lbaran

The marriage of the heirs of two feuding planets — Prince Phan-tu Zenn of Eiram and Princess Xiri A'lbaran of E'ronoh — was meant to cement the ceasefire achieved through the Republic's mediation. The ceremony took place on Eiram under the protection of Jedi led by Master Creighton Sun. The celebration was disrupted twice. First, bounty hunters tried to capture Axel Greylark, son of the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, who had a bounty on his head; they were driven off by Sun's forces. Then the Children of E'ronoh, terrorists opposed to peace, attacked from orbit, and the Republic cruiser Paxion was knocked out of orbit around Eiram. Xiri A'lbaran demanded that the rite be completed in haste, after which she herself led a combined force of Tailfire Squadron and Eiram fighters and, in a maneuver known as the “kestrel dive,” destroyed the attackers' commander, Rev Ferrol. The clash greatly complicated the negotiations: the involvement of the Chancellor's son and the son of E'ronoh's governor led to mutual recriminations, which is why the independent Morton San Tekka had to be appointed mediator for the treaty signing.
