Description
Quest for the Hidden City is a canon middle-grade novel by George Mann, published by Disney–Lucasfilm Press on November 1, 2022, together with an audiobook. The book is part of the second phase of the multimedia initiative Star Wars: The High Republic.
The story is set roughly a century and a half before the events of the first phase, during the era of great exploration, when the chancellors of the Republic, together with the Jedi, sent dozens of pathfinder teams into the remote regions of the Outer Rim, while communication with them remained unreliable. The plot revolves around a missing team of pathfinders, the planets Aubadas and Gloam, and the underground city of the Katikoot people. The characters include the Jedi Silandra Sho and Rooper Nitani.
It is the first children's book of the initiative's second phase; it is connected to the novels Path of Deceit and Convergence and is distinguished by a noticeably darker, horror-like tone.
