Description
Invincible is a novel by Troy Denning, first published by Del Rey in hardcover on May 13, 2008. The book belongs to Star Wars Legends and is the ninth and final volume of the Legacy of the Force cycle, which opened with Aaron Allston's novel Betrayal.
The story is set in 41 ABY. The novel concludes the protracted war between the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances and its opponents, into which the Jedi Order and the Skywalker and Solo families have been drawn. The narrative ties together the storylines that the cycle's three authors developed over nine books.
In Legends, the book marks the boundary between Legacy of the Force and the next major cycle, Fate of the Jedi, which begins shortly after the events described here. The characters and balance of power established by the end of the novel define the starting conditions for subsequent works of the Expanded Universe.
