End of the Second Galactic Civil War
After Caedus's death, the forces of the Jedi Coalition defeated his fleet, forced the Moffs to surrender, and installed Jagged Fel as head of the Imperial Remnant.
Description
The Second Galactic Civil War was fought between the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances under the rule of Darth Caedus, the Confederation, and the Jedi Coalition. Its outcome was determined by the death of Caedus in a duel at Uroro Station: having lost its ruler, the Alliance changed its policy and united with the Imperial Remnant and the Jedi. The Confederation laid down its arms before the combined forces, and the war ended. The head of state was to be a figure acceptable to all sides: Admiral Nek Bwua'tu, who did not wish to enter politics, nominated Natasi Daala, and she was confirmed as the only candidate to command general agreement. Daala also made changes to the structure of the Moff Council: it was composed of equal numbers of men and women, something that had not happened in the decades since the death of the Emperor. In her inaugural address she promised to pursue peace and made it clear that the Alliance might no longer need the Jedi, a statement that foreshadowed her future conflict with the Order.
