Seatos

Seatos is a planet of the Denab system in the Outer Rim, covered with forests and oceans. In the distant past it was inhabited by a people who had come from another galaxy; these settlers built a mechanism here designed to determine the path to their home galaxy.

The device was activated by a spherical star map and remained on the planet millennia after its creators vanished. It was from Seatos that the path described in the legends of a world beyond known space began.

Later an enormous hyperspace ring was built above the planet, designed for a jump to another galaxy. A former Jedi who arrived here with her apprentice and a droid instructor discovered this structure, came under attack by starfighters, and, evading pursuit, descended into the planet's atmosphere, where they encountered a pod of purrgil.
