Meeting of Yoda and Count Dooku on Vjun

Dooku proposed to his former mentor that they meet on Vjun — a world whose toxic atmosphere and degenerating population had long been associated with the dark side; Château Malreaux also stood there. Yoda suspected a trap but did not wish to miss the chance to bring the Count back to the Order and the Republic. To distract the enemy, Republic Intelligence staged an ostentatious departure by an actor known for playing Yoda, aboard an interceptor. The Grand Master himself set out with Masters Jai Maruk and Maks Leem and their Padawans — Scout and Whie Malreaux, heir to that very château, who had been taken to the Temple as a child. Deceived by the double, Asajj Ventress caught up with the real group at the spaceport on Phindar and killed both Masters, while her assassin droids slaughtered passersby. At Château Malreaux, the meeting came to nothing: Dooku was able neither to sway Yoda to the dark side nor to kill him, and the arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker finally thwarted the plan. The Count fled the planet. Upon his return, Kenobi was elevated to Master and appointed to the Council.
