Nosaurian resistance crushed on New Plympto
Imperial forces wipe out the Nosaurian resistance on its home planet. The only survivors are the former Jedi General Dass Jennir and the scout Bomo Greenbark, who make their way to the spaceport and, unable to find their fellow Nosaurians' families, arrange help with the crew of a passing ship.
Description
New Plympto, the homeworld of the Nosaurians, sided with the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Clone Wars. After the formation of the Empire, this became the grounds for punitive measures: Imperial units landed on the planet to finally crush the resistance of local fighters who continued the struggle even after the Confederacy's capitulation. Fighting alongside the Nosaurians was the former Jedi General Dass Jennir, who at the end of the war had commanded Republic forces on this planet and, after the execution of the order to destroy the Jedi, remained with his former enemies, who had become his comrades. The resistance was fragmented, short of weapons, and without outside support; Imperial troops systematically destroyed its units and enslaved prisoners. The resistance was crushed, and the surviving Nosaurians were taken off the planet to slave markets. Of the unit, only Jennir and the Wookiee Bomo Greenbark, who had lost his family, survived; their subsequent search for loved ones sold into slavery continued this story and exemplified the situation of those who survived the fall of the Republic.
