Shimrra Jamaane

Shimrra came from the Jamaane domain and was considered from birth one of the possible Supreme Overlords. Around 29 BBY his will was subjugated by Onimi, a former shaper who had become a Shamed One but retained his sensitivity to the Force. At Onimi's instigation, Shimrra, with the support of the warrior caste, overthrew Supreme Overlord Quoreal, who refused to go to the new galaxy, considering the living planet Zonama Sekot an ill omen, and proclaimed its conquest preordained.

From 25 ABY the Yuuzhan Vong pushed back the New Republic, and three years later Shimrra established himself on captured Coruscant, renamed Yuuzhan'tar. From his citadel he directed the war and tried to stamp out the “Jedi heresy” among his people.

After the defeat at Ebaq 9 the situation began to deteriorate, and the appearance of Zonama Sekot above the capital in 29 ABY caused unrest and undermined his power. Refusing to surrender the planet, Shimrra set vast areas of it on fire and died in the citadel at the hands of Luke Skywalker; Onimi died next, and the Yuuzhan Vong capitulated.
