Description
He was drawn into the struggle against the Empire from a young age and by the time of the confrontation on Scarif had years of underground work behind him. He served as an Alliance intelligence officer, recruited informants, and carried out assignments that could not be made public.
He received the task of finding Galen Erso and, to help with this, accompanied his daughter Jyn Erso, acting together with a reprogrammed Imperial droid. He traveled with her to Jedha and to Eadu, where he witnessed a test of the new Imperial weapon.
When the Alliance command refused to launch an open operation, he gathered volunteers and led them to Scarif to steal the plans of the battle station. The data was successfully transmitted to the fleet, but he and his companions died on the planet when the station struck.
