Gilad Pellaeon

Pellaeon began his career in the Republic's Judicial Forces and during the Clone Wars commanded the assault ship Leveler; he then entered the service of the Empire aboard the Star Destroyer Chimaera. At Endor the ship came under his command, and it was he who gave the order to retreat. When Grand Admiral Thrawn returned, the Chimaera became his flagship and Pellaeon his right hand; after Thrawn's death at Bilbringi, he once again had to withdraw the fleet.

After serving as second-in-command to the warlord Treuten Teradoc, he went over to Admiral Natasi Daala, and after her defeat he took over the Combined Warlord Fleets and, as Supreme Commander, secured the surviving territories for the Empire while remaining formally subordinate to the Moff Council. In 19 ABY he forced the council to accept a peace treaty with the New Republic.

In the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, Pellaeon overcame the resistance of the Moffs and brought the Empire into the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. Later he led the Alliance's defense forces in the Swarm War and at the beginning of the Second Galactic Civil War, and in 41 ABY he was killed on Fondor at the hand of Tahiri Veila after refusing to support Darth Caedus.
