Death of Aidel Saxan on Toryaz Station

Aidel Saxan was a native of Corellia and held the post of Prime Minister of the Five Worlds at a time when relations between her system and the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances were deteriorating. To settle the dispute, the parties met on Toryaz Station, a two-kilometer structure in the Kuat system near the moon Ronai, where negotiations were held in the Narsakk residential complex. The meeting was disrupted by an attack on the station. Saxan died on Toryaz in 40 ABY, and the death of the head of the Corellian government made a peaceful outcome impossible. The collapse of the negotiations on Toryaz was one of the events preceding the open armed confrontation between Corellia and the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. The investigation into the circumstances of the attack on the station proved closely tied to a wider range of incidents that year that drew the attention of the Jedi.
