Galen Marek

Galen Marek, the son of Kento and Mallie Marek, was born with an exceptionally strong connection to the Force and was captured as a child by Darth Vader during the Great Jedi Purge. Vader raised him in secret from the Emperor as his own weapon, subjecting him to brutal trials; the boy's only support was the double droid PROXY, and the Imperial officer Juno Eclipse later became his pilot.

Under the code name Starkiller he carried out secret missions for Vader, eliminating surviving Jedi, and was then given the task of uniting the Empire's opponents in order to spark an open rebellion and distract the Emperor. Marek believed this plan to be genuine and thought that Vader would not miss a chance to kill Palpatine.

The disaffected senators he brought together laid the foundation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. When the Emperor captured them on the Death Star, Marek came to their rescue and died fighting Palpatine and Vader, allowing the leaders of the rebellion to escape; his family crest became the emblem of the new Alliance.
