Description
The Eye of Darkness is a canon novel by George Mann, released on November 14, 2023, as part of the third phase of the multimedia initiative Star Wars: The High Republic. The hardcover edition runs 416 pages.
The story is set in 229–228 BBY and continues the line of the initiative's first phase: about a year has passed since the events of the novel The Fallen Star. A significant part of the galaxy is cut off from the Republic by the Nihil Stormwall, and Jedi and civilians remain inside the resulting occupation zone. The novel opens the third and final phase of the initiative and returns the reader to the heroes of the first phase.
The narrative continues in the novel Temptation of the Force. The book is connected to the comics and young adult works of the same period and serves as the same kind of starting point for the third phase that Light of the Jedi was for the first.
