Description
The fourth arc of the Tales of the Jedi cycle, a six-issue Dark Horse Comics miniseries that launched in August 1995. It was written by Kevin J. Anderson. The story takes place roughly a year after Dark Lords of the Sith and covers the era's central conflict, known in Legends as the Great Sith War.
The narrative brings together the storylines of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma and expands them to a galactic scale: the conflict draws in the Jedi Order and its archive world of Ossus, the Republic, Coruscant, the Krath cult, and the Mandalorian clans led by the current Mandalore. The series cements a number of concepts that became cornerstones of the entire Old Republic era, from the Massassi of Yavin 4 to the Cron Cluster.
Later Legends works return to this part of the cycle, including the Knights of the Old Republic games, which are set several decades after the events depicted here.
