Description
An action-adventure game developed and published by LucasArts in 2008. The game was released in North America on September 16 and in Europe on September 19. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions were made by LucasArts itself, the PlayStation 2, PSP, and Wii ports by Krome Studios, and the handheld and mobile versions by other contractors; an expanded edition came out in 2009, and in 2022 Aspyr released an updated version for the Nintendo Switch. The project was led by Haden Blackman, and the music was composed by Mark Griskey. The game is known for its use of the Havok physics engine and the Euphoria destruction system.
The story is set between the third and fourth episodes. The protagonist is Starkiller, Darth Vader's secret apprentice, who hunts down Jedi who survived the Great Purge. The game was the centerpiece of the multimedia project of the same name, which included a novel, a comic, and reference materials.
Following Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm, the game was assigned to Legends in 2014; the events it depicts are not part of the current canon.
