Description
Ahsoka is a live-action series first announced on December 10, 2020; its first season was released on the Disney+ streaming service in 2023. Dave Filoni wrote the series, and he and Jon Favreau served as producers. The lead role is played by Rosario Dawson, who had previously portrayed Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian.
The story takes place in 9 ABY, shortly after the heroine's appearance in the second season of The Mandalorian, and continues the storyline begun in the epilogue of the animated series Rebels: the former Jedi investigates a threat emerging against a vulnerable galaxy after the fall of the Empire.
The series brings characters from the animated projects into live action and is closely tied to The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Mandalorian. A second season was announced in January 2024, and the storyline is set to conclude with a feature film directed by Filoni.
