Description
The third and final arc of the Dawn of the Jedi comic, published by Dark Horse Comics in five issues from November 20, 2013, to March 19, 2014. It was written by John Ostrander, with pencils by Jan Duursema, inks by Dan Parsons, and colors by Wes Dzioba. Together with the two previous arcs, the series totaled fifteen issues.
The events continue the storylines of Force Storm and Prisoner of Bogan and unfold in the Tython system, where the Je'daii Order faces the Rakatan Infinite Empire. The arc depicts the large-scale conflict that gives the series its name and brings to a climax the storylines of Xesh, Daegen Lok, and the young Je'daii Shae Koda, Tasha Ryo, and Sek'nos Rath.
The series ended with this arc because the license for Star Wars comics passed to Marvel Comics in 2015, so Force War concluded the comic cycle about the oldest era of Legends, a period preceding both the Republic and the division of the Force into the light and dark sides in its familiar form.
