Description
A transfer station of the Old Republic and one of the few inhabited outposts in the Auril sector.
During the Great Sith War, Ulic Qel-Droma at first hinted that he intended to strike at Kemplex Nine, but this was a ruse to divert Republic forces from the real target, Coruscant. Later he did decide to attack the station, but this attack, too, was conceived as a trap for the Jedi and the Republic fleet.
Aleema Keto and Crado, aboard the flagship of the ancient Sith Lord Naga Sadow, ravaged the station and drew the pursuing fleet, led by the Jedi Dace Diath, Shoaneb Culu, and Qrrrl Toq, into the region of the ten stars of the Cron Cluster. A Sith device activated by Aleema unintentionally ignited all ten stars, destroying the station and the surrounding space and giving rise to the Cron Drift.
