Description
Empress Teta is an ecumenopolis planet in the Koros sector of the Deep Core, formerly called Koros or Koros Major. The world received its new name after the ruler Teta united the entire system under her rule.
The planet was the center of exploration of the densely star-packed Deep Core: a guild of hyperspace navigators was based here, and long-distance journeys were made possible by freezing passengers in carbonite. The factories of Koros produced ships and equipment, and the system's defense relied on them during the war with the Sith, when Teta's fleet went out to meet the invasion.
A millennium later, two descendants of the ruler turned to the dark side and founded the Krath cult. Having seized power, they crushed the resistance and held the planet despite the intervention of the Republic and the Jedi, and Empress Teta itself became a base of military operations for the Krath and the Brotherhood of the Sith.
