The Inquisitorius picks up the trail of the Lothal cell

As long as the Lothal cell's actions were limited to attacks on convoys and warehouses, the Imperial authorities regarded what was happening as a matter for the local garrison. The situation changed when it became known that one of the members wielded the Force: information about this reached the service created to hunt down surviving Jedi. The Grand Inquisitor was sent to the planet, a former Temple Guard who had gone over to the Empire and headed the Inquisitorius. He handled the case differently from the military: he studied fighting techniques and the manner of handling a lightsaber in order to determine who had trained the rebel, set traps using prisoners, and sought not so much to destroy the cell as to uncover its connections and force the Jedi to reveal himself. The clashes moved from sabotage to direct duels. The Inquisitor's appearance sharply raised the cost of any mistake for the rebels and forced them to leave the planet more often. At the same time, the pursuit accelerated the training of the cell's youngest member and pushed the group to seek allies beyond Lothal.
