Search for Luke Skywalker

After the destruction of his school, Luke Skywalker disappeared, leaving the path to him broken into pieces: one fragment of the map was kept in the Imperial archives and fell into the hands of the First Order, a second was held by the explorer Lor San Tekka on Jakku, and the missing piece lay for many years in the memory of an astromech droid. Both sides considered the find decisive: Leia Organa was searching for her brother as a mainstay of the Resistance, and Supreme Leader Snoke wanted to eliminate the threat of a Jedi revival. A First Order unit under Kylo Ren destroyed the village of Tuanul, but Poe Dameron managed to pass the fragment to his droid. The droid ended up with the scavenger Rey and then, by way of Takodana and the base on D'Qar, reached the Resistance, where the map was completed with the missing piece. The path led to Ahch-To, the ancient world of the first Jedi temple. Skywalker, who had gone there voluntarily, refused to intervene in the war and only later agreed to train Rey.
