Description

The liberation of Naboo and the destruction of the Lightning Strike showed that a defensive war against the Nihil would be endless as long as their leader remained intact. Avar Kriss and Elzar Mann decided to search for Marchion Ro himself; Knights Bell Zettifar, Burryaga Agaburry, and Vernestra Rwoh went with them. The necessary information was provided by Ghirra Starros, a Republic senator who had gone over to the Nihil: her daughter Avon Sunvale passed a data storage device to the Jedi. Comparing the data, Mann noticed that all the worlds Ro had visited in recent weeks were afflicted by the blight: the Eye of the Nihil was himself tracking the contagion. Of the few worlds he could head to next, only Vixosef One had previously been settled by the Drengir, and the team went there. The Gaze Electric was already leaving, but Ro remained on the surface, testing how the blight was transmitted when infected soil was moved. He unleashed a Nameless on the Jedi and escaped, repelling Rwoh's attack. The creature was killed only by the combined effort of three of them. Soon afterward Ro himself appeared on Coruscant, announcing that he was protected from the blight and alone knew how to stop it.
